Our new alto saxophone is perfect for students, the hobbyist, or even that musician looking to add another instrument. We've made sure this sax sounds great and has more features than you'd expect from a beginner saxophone.
All Laurel saxes have a polished lacquer finish. We use high quality leather pads with metal resonators for improved tone and to eliminate leaks. Each alto sax outfit comes with a hardshell case, mouthpiece, reed, adjustable neck strap and a blanket. All Laurel saxes feature: Bell brass, polished lacquer finish, leather pads with metal resonators, polished brass keys, perloid buttons, seamless neck, high F# and low Bb.
The Eb alto saxophone is the most popular beginner instrument. Saxophone players generally prefer the alto for its smaller size and light weight. Once mastered, it is easy to transfer to the tenor, baritone or soprano saxophones as the keying is the same.
The Eb alto saxophone is designed to play major melody parts. The "Laurel" alto sax blows easily and has an excellent fingering response.
